Watch the progress of artists creating murals on the levee year-round.   Painting on a 45-degree angle is strenuous and expensive so consider supporting an artist.

Kayak/SUP Mural Alley:

Get out at Suspension Bridge before Kayak Park unless you are experienced in white water.

  • Shortest paddle: put in at Wild Horse bridge to Suspension bridge.

  • 1 mile float:  put in at Reservoir Road

  • 3 mile float:  put in below City Park at Burkhardt Bridge

  • 6 mile float: put in below Lake Pueblo dam. DO NOT go over low head dam before Burkhardt Bridge! Portage around at signs!  Good news! Funding found for a boat ramp here-construction July 2024!

   CAUTION

     advised

  1. Portage (carry boat) around dangerous/deadly low head dam between Pueblo Blvd & Burkhardt Bridge! Signs tell you when to exit river left & walk trail.

  2. Wear an approved personal floatation device at all times on rivers.

  3. Check water flow and dangers as river is constantly changing.

  4. Go with others in case of trouble and to have more fun.
