2026 Pueblo Move It Month

Pueblo Move it Month is June 2026

Each year we try to get more people moving in a healthy way and exploring our amazing community during the month of June as we celebrate Colorado Bike Month.  Our mission since 2008 is to make Pueblo more bikeable and walkable and show people want these community amenities.  We will highlight all the free or low cost outdoor, human propelled active events taking place locally on our calendar below. There are weekly bicycle rides, some organized walks, runs and for the ___ year, free fitness classes on the Riverwalk Monday through Friday thanks to the Board of Waterworks and Studio Share.

Don't miss the free breakfast stop on Colorado Bike to Work Day!

Colorado turns 150 years old August 1st

Logo_CO150 250 flag.png

The United States celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence 250 years ago on July 4th.

Colorado celebrates 150 years of statehood on August 1st.  So there are tons of ways to celebrate America 250/Colorado 150 this year and especially this summer.

Pueblo is offering a 150 Challenge to Pueblo County residents to get more active exploring Pueblo and Colorado June 1st to August 1st.  You pick your own challenge to do over the 9 weeks.  Maybe try to log 150 miles on foot (hiking/walking/running), or 150 miles on bike (any bicycle including E bikes that are pedal assist), or 150 miles combined on foot or bike.  For those of you over achievers, maybe 150 miles within 48 hours.

Track your progress with your watch, device, and any app you like.  You will only be asked to prove your miles if you win a big prize and will need to show your app to claim the prize.  This is more about setting a goal, being social sharing your progress on social media, on your fitness app and inspiring others to go a little farther and reach their own goal.

You can log your challenge goal HERE and your final results HERE.  This is just a fun, casual, independent and voluntary challenge meant to be a safe way to challenge yourself and celebrate Colorado's 150th birthday your own active way.  Be sure to follow the rules of the road, ride, hike, run, move safely as you are responsible for your own health and safety.  We are looking for sponsors for some fun prizes, maybe a few $150 cash prizes for a drawing.  More details to come in late May 2026.

Want to add an event to our active calendar, volunteer or offer a community discount?

If submitting a free, outdoor event to add, please include details of location, time and a link for more details in case details change, the link will provide the most accurate event details.
